Suitable for newer students as well as continuing beginners looking to work therapeutically with any limitations or injuries. No yoga experience necessary.
Intro To Yoga— assists students in developing strength and flexibility through the primary and basic yoga poses by focusing on alignment and breath work. Regular class attendance builds a deeper understanding of yoga fundamentals as well as increased spinal alignment and stamina creating a sense of overall well-being. Suitable for new students, as well as continuing beginners.
Yoga 1— is a fun introduction to the practice of yoga based on the Anusara form of hatha yoga through Universal Principles of Alignment. In this class you will be introduced to alignment principles that encourage development of mind-body awareness through a wide range of basic standing poses, hip openers, backbends, handbalances and beginning inversions that help in gaining more confidence while increasing strength and flexibility. This introductory experience is perfect for students new to yoga, have a general experience in other yoga forms and are curious about the Anusara form or are simply looking to work therapeutically with any limitations or injuries.
Yoga 1-2— encompasses a more vigorous sequence of postures, supporting the refinement of body awareness by deepening the understanding of the Alignment Principles through the practice. The journey will continue to explore more challenging standing poses and hip openers while introducing deeper backbends, handbalances, and inversions. This level is appropriate for intermediate or continuing students, or those who have had a consistent yoga practice in other forms of hatha yoga for at least 1 year and are curious about the Anusara form.
Alignment Based Flow & All Levels— is a heart-centered flow practice offering a variety of poses designed to cultivate strength and flexibility through alignment and breath awareness for optimal relaxation. This practice embodies graceful and playful elements to welcome the magic of life. This class offers a way to break through limitations and discover new possibilities.
Vinyasa Flow— literally means breath-synchronized movement. This is a vigorous yoga class engaging body, mind, and spirit as movement is linked through breath. Each class offers a unique experience beginning with centering and pranayama (breathwork), followed by a diverse Vinyasa flow sequence, as well as stretching and floor work finalizing with Savasana (final relaxation). Regular class attendance builds strength, flexibility, stamina, spinal alignment and detoxifies the body creating a sense of overall well-being. Step on your mat with an open heart and mind. Step off feeling grounded, joyful, and refreshed! |
